I’M delighted my colleagues Nick and Rich were spot-on with their 2-1 winning predictions in midweek... I really am!
But, my prediction shout of 3-1 against Port Vale takes the moral victory, especially considering the stonewall penalty the Reds were denied in stoppage time.
I’m still scratching my head wondering why the referee failed to point to the spot when Bryce Hosannah was body-checked.
It was a worthwhile exercise as Phil Parkinson ran the rule over the fringe players at his disposal and there’s an interesting quandary.
James McClean is the Reds’ corner-taker, but Luke Young’s set-pieces could have resulted in three goals against Port Vale, including the pinpoint corner that picked out McClean for his winning header.
Certainly plenty to ponder!
Wrexham go into tomorrow’s match with Gillingham without suspended McClean and Paul Mullin, but I think the Reds will continue the fine unbeaten run.
OUR PREDICTIONS:
WREXHAM 2 GILLINGHAM 1 NICK HARRISON
WREXHAM 2 GILLINGHAM 0 RICHARD WILLIAMS
WREXHAM 1 GILLINGHAM 1 SHAUN DAVIES
SCORES SO FAR.......SHAUN DAVIES 21; NICK HARRISON 16; RICHARD WILLIAMS 16
