THIRD place in League Two 15 games into the season isn’t a bad start.
And it’s fair to say that Wrexham haven’t really hit full throttle yet so Reds boss Phil Parkinson will be more than pleased heading into what is arguably Wrexham’s biggest test yet when they visit arch rivals Notts County tomorrow.
The two club’s rivalry runs much deeper than last season’s thrill-a-minute title race which saw Wrexham pip The Magpies in the National League title race.
The Meadow Lane clash sees the oldest club in England take on the oldest one in Wales and County, promoted via the play-offs to join Wrexham back in the Football League, will be out for revenge.
Wrexham head to Nottingham looking for a stand-up-and-take-note performance and nothing like the one they produced at Stockport a month ago when County took the bounty in a 5-0 thrashing.
A point will be a brilliant return for Wrexham, who can then head into the last two months of the year looking to mount a serious promotion challenge.
