YOU’D have thought that Sky Sports would have cherry-picked tomorrow’s Wrexham versus Salford clash as one of their live games.

Both clubs are used to the exposure. Salford’s Class of 92 documentary made classic viewing for all football fans living the dream of making it into the Football League.

Funded by Gary Neville and his Manchester United team-mates, Salford reached the promised land ahead of Wrexham, who are now number one in the football documentary box office thanks to Hollywood movie star owners, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds and a team that’s doing very nicely out on the pitch.

With the second series of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ now pulling in viewers all over the globe, and international football being a huge turn-off to a lot of football fans, this match would have been a must-watch one.

Instead another sell-out crowd will enjoy the occasion and after a superb two wins and draw on the road in the past 10 days, it promises to be some home-coming for Phil Parkinson’s in-form team.
