WREXHAM maintained their 100 per cent in the EFL Trophy by defeating Crewe Alexandra 3-0 at Gresty Road to progress to the knockout stages of a competition the Reds won in 2005.
The damage was done in the opening 13 minutes as Phil Parkinson's men went 2-0 up through an own goal and Jordan Davies' strike.
In control against their fellow-League Two opponents, the Reds finished the job off in the second half when captain Luke Young converted a penalty after Jake Bickerstaff was fouled in the area and Crewe were left with 10-men.
Parkinson's men, who beat Newcastle United under 21s 1-0 in their opening group game, are guaranteed to finish in the top-two.
There is one game remaining next month at home to Port Vale who are also through.
Here's how the Wrexham players rated:

BRYCE HOSANNAH: Looked lively down the right flank despite a lack of game-time. 7

MAX CLEWORTH: Played as the middle centre-back and was rock solid throughout, having an excellent game. 7
