THERE was a telling moment during the second half of Wrexham’s battling 0-0 draw at unbeaten Mansfield.
Arthur Okonkwo had just made a save at his near post and skipper Ben Tozer was smiling as he went towards the young loanee before giving him a pat on the back.
That fleeting moment epitomises a Reds’ side that’s now more robust at the back and four points from trips to Mansfield and Crawley points to title challengers.
Both came courtesy of clean sheets and while Wrexham rode their luck, particularly at Mansfield, nobody can argue that they didn’t deserve those points.
Blocks are coming in for shots that found the back of the net in August and September. Okonkwo has made some terrific saves and the likes of Aaron Hayden and George Evans have impressed.
Saying that, it could be a night off for these players at Crewe tonight!
Expecting Phil Parkinson to go for a much-changed line-up... but a Wrexham win once more.
