IT was a day to forget as Wrexham were thrashed 5-0 by Stockport County at Edgeley Park.

Phil Parkinson's men found themselves three-nil down at the break and Stockport scored another two goals after the break as the Reds' seven-game unbeaten run in League Two came to an end.

Brilliant in the 3-0 win against Grimsby the previous weekend, Wrexham produced a dreadful performance against the Hatters and it was alarming to see the Reds concede five goals for the third time in nine league games.

Here's how the players rated:

MARK HOWARD: Beaten five times as Stockport ran riot on a day to forget for Wrexham. 4

RYAN BARNETT: Wrexham normally utilise their wing-backs well but that wasn’t the case at Stockport. 3

AARON HAYDEN: Unusually out of sorts. Stockport were a threat on the break but Wrexham gifted the home side goals. 3

BEN TOZER: Will be disappointed with the display and with the goals that Wrexham conceded. 3

WILL BOYLE: Wrexham’s defending left a lot to be desired] 3

JAMES MCCLEAN: The Irish international was brilliant against Grimsby but struggled to make an impact at Edgeley Park. 3

LUKE YOUNG: The captain never gave up but Wrexham were second best against Stockport. 4

TOM O’CONNOR: Wrexham started brightly enough but lost the midfield battles after that. 3

ELLIOT LEE: Tried to make things happen and hit the crossbar in the second half. 4

PAUL MULLIN: Made his 100th appearance for Wrexham but fed off crumbs. 4

SAM DALBY: Back in the side but didn’t get into the game at all. 3

SUBSTITUTES: GEORGE EVANS: It was a surprise he didn’t come on sooner. 3

STEVEN FLETCHER: Unable to make any difference after he came on in the second half. 3

OLLIE PALMER: Came on too late to make any real impact in the game. 3

ANTONY FORDE: Late substitute. 3

JORDAN DAVIES: The game was over when the attacking midfielder was introduced. 3
