PLAYER-COACH Carl Forster is hoping there’s one more victory left this year to reward North Wales Crusaders’ “crazy and passionate” fans.

Following a turbulent year on and off the pitch, the cracking Crusaders have battled their way through to the grand final of the League 1 play-offs.

Doncaster will host the showpiece occasion this Sunday and Cru fans will be turning out in force once again to cheer on their favourites.

Crusaders go into the match following last week’s epic 25-18 success at Hunslet and Forster told CruCast: “My partner actually sat with the fans and she was saying how crazy and passionate they were and it’s brilliant.

“They’re just brilliant. I think I made a comment last time we played Hunslet and we got beat.

“We walked off and we got applauded off the field and that’s when I thought these fans are something different and they’ve done it every single week for us.

“They’ve always travelled well. They’ve had to travel all year and I think it would be a fitting end if we could do something special on Sunday after such a tough year, they’ll get what they deserve.”
