PAUL MULLIN will join the century club if he features for Wrexham against Stockport County at Edgeley Park on Saturday.

If selected by manager Phil Parkinson, star striker Mullin will make his 100th appearance for the Reds in the League Two encounter.

Mullin missed Wrexham's return to the Football League after suffering a punctured lung and four cracked ribs during the 3-1 win against a Manchester United XI on the club's pre-season tour to America but is back in the ranks now.

The 28-year-old made his comeback as a second half substitute in the 2-1 League Two win against Doncaster Rovers on September 9.

A first start of the campaign came on Saturday against Grimsby Town at The STóK Cae Ras when Mullin led the attack with Ollie Palmer and Wrexham won 3-0 to extend the unbeaten league run to seven games and climb up to fourth in the table, just three points behind leaders Gillingham.

Mullin didn't score in his first two games back from injury but the frontman has made a habit of finding the back of the net for Wrexham since arriving in north Wales from Cambridge United in July 2021.

He finished leading scorer with 32 goals in 2021-22 to scoop the Player of the Season award as well as the National League’s golden boot and Player of the Season gong.

It got even better during Wrexham's record-breaking 2022-23 season as Mullin scored 47 goals in all competitions, helping the Reds clinch the National League title and return to the Football League following a 15-year absence.

That earned fans' favourite Mullin the club’s Player of the Season award for a second year in a row as well as a place in the National League team of the season.

If Mullin scores on his 100th appearance at Stockport, it would complete a superb record as he netted goals in his 1st, 25th, 50th and 75th outings for Wrexham!

In his 99 matches so far, Mullin found the back of the net in 56 of those games, including in every one of the three matches against Stockport County during the 2021-22 campaign.
