WHAT an end to the season it’s turning out to be for North Wales Crusaders!
Carl Forster’s Cru defeated runners-up Hunslet 25-18 to book a League 1 play-off final trip to Doncaster next Sunday.
Rob Massam, Matt Reid, Kieran Taylor and Cole Oakley grabbed the tries for North Wales at the South Leeds Stadium, while Owain Abel (pictured above) kicked a crucial drop goal with five minutes left to play.
Matt Fletcher has said the run in the play-offs was one for the supporters following a tough campaign in League 1.
He told the club’s website: “You can see they appreciate our efforts now and it’s good to sort of give them a bit of something to cheer about with it being a bit of a miserable season.”
