IT’S a big reunion in the League 1 play-offs for Anthony Murray this weekend.
It’s winner-takes-all as coach Murray’s current and former clubs clash in the opening stage of the play-offs, with Workington Town hosting North Wales Crusaders on Sunday.
Murray, who left North Wales at the end of last season, has described Cru as “a good team” ahead of the big game.
He told the Workington Town Facebook page: “It’s a home draw. It’s against Crusaders, who are a good team and we need everybody getting behind us and giving us a real good cheer-on.
“It will be our last home fixture, so let’s get everybody down, get behind the team and hopefully we can send you home smiling like we have done today, fingers crossed.”
Workington go into the tie following an 18-6 triumph against League 1 runners-up Hunslet.
Meanwhile, Crusaders rubber-stamped their spot in the play-offs courtesy of a 62-20 home success versus London Skolars.
Matt Reid was the star of the show with a hat-trick of tries.
