RYAN BARNETT knows victory against Tranmere Rovers would mean a lot to Wrexham supporters and the wing-back will do everything he can to give Reds’ fans bragging rights.

Phil Parkinson’s men renew acquaintances with their near-neighbours in tomorrow’s eagerly-awaited League Two clash at Prenton Park, with a 12.30pm kick-off.

A March signing from Solihull Moors, Barnett is eager to deliver three points.

“We will go into it like we do every game looking for the three points,” said Barnett.

“We know there is a lot riding on it with the rivalry between Wrexham and Tranmere.

“I had a taste of it with Tranmere when I was at Shrewsbury, for some reason there was a little bit of a nip in there.

“I have heard all about the rivalry with Wrexham from some of the fans I have spoken to, we will go there and try and get the three points.

“We are going to give 100 per cent and the performance should look after the result.”

Wrexham are unbeaten in four league games since the 5-3 defeat to MK Dons on the opening day of the season, picking up one win and three draws.

Barnett feels the Reds are heading in the right direction.

“We have had a review of some clips, some things we have done bad and some things we have done good,” he added.

“I think we are slowly improving and getting there as a team.

“We are on the right track.”
