Chester continue their preparations for the forthcoming National League North season with a trip to Cymru Premier League Bala Town.
The Lakesiders are managed by Colin Caton, whose son Charlie is a striker with Calum McIntyre's charges.
The younger Caton has netted three times in pre-season so far, including in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Wythenshawe Town.
Tonight's friendly is a testimonial for long-serving Bala skipper Kieran Smith, who moved to the Lakesiders a decade ago from Chester Nomads.
Mynydd Isa defeated Brymbo 9-1 in their latest friendly.
Kris Turner netted a hat-trick for Isa.
