WHAT a season it's turning out to be for Brymbo.
The North Wales Cricket League leaders have made it through to the quarter-finals of the Welsh Cup with a six-wicket derby win over Gresford.
Sam Burke's 37 not out helped Gresford to set 166 for six (Dan Parry 2-27).
James Claybrook's sparkling 79 not out and Mohamed Nilam Jayman's run-a-ball 45 saw Brymbo to 167 for four (Mikey Wright 2-38).
Cardiff, Swansea and Newport have also booked their spots in the last-eight of the national competition.
St Asaph's Will Ryan was a part of the Wales National County side that lost out by 18 runs to Dorset in the NCCA Trophy.
