BANGOR 1876 have been promoted to Cymru North but Cefn Albion pushed them all the way in the Ardal play-off final at Prestatyn.

Bangor (pictured above) celebrated a 4-2 extra-time victory as Cefn finished the game with nine men.

Dion Gibbons was red carded two minutes before the break and Bangor took advantage with Corrig McGonigle and Tom Clarke putting them 2-0 up.

Cefn never gave up and were rewarded with two late goals from Ryan Kershaw (pictured left) and a Ryan Kehoe penalty to take the game into extra time where a goal from Liam Morris and a McGonigle penalty saw Bangor home as Cefn’s Nick Jones was sent off in the last minute, while Bangor’s Shaun Lock also received his marching orders.
