IT'S going to be the end of two eras at Holyhead Road tomorrow.

The final match of the Cymru North season will mark the final game in charge for both Chirk AAA's Andy Pryde and Buckley Town's Dan Moore.

Both of the managers will want to end their reigns with victories, but the points are more important from the perspective of Chirk, who are still battling to beat relegation.

Everything in the league has been sorted out apart from the final team to go down and that battle is between Chirk and Conwy Borough.

Pryde, who has been in charge at Chirk for three seasons, thinks decisions have gone against his side over recent weeks and the hosts have a number of regular players out tomorrow.

"It's my last game in charge of Chirk," said Pryde.

"We just want to finish on a high and make sure we're still in the league.

"To be fair, we're lucky our reserves are doing well.

"We still go into every game thinking we're going to get the three points."

A point for Chirk should be sufficient for safety, even if third-from-bottom Conwy Borough end their campaign with victory at Ruthin Town.

Meanwhile, tomorrow ends Dan Moore's six-year stint in the dugout for Buckley and club chairman Chris Edwards has been paying tribute to the outgoing manager.

"As you will be aware, Dan has decided that the time is right for him to take a step back from his role as first team manager," said Edwards.

"Having returned to the club during 2016/17 as assistant manager, it quickly became apparent that his drive, passion and commitment meant he was destined to be a number one.

"Dan took over as first team manager at the start of the 2017/2018 season and after a dramatic 86th minute equaliser in the final game of the season versus Brickfield, he guided the Bucks back into the Cymru Alliance at the first time asking.

"Having won the President's Cup at the start 2018/2019 season, Dan has gone on to stabilise our club within tier two with a fantastic ethos of growing the club sustainably, and building a fantastic group of young, local, loyal players and supporters.

"As well as fantastic on field success, Dan has been instrumental behind the scenes too.

"His commitment and drive to be better has pushed us forward dramatically, and as a club, we are poles apart from when he first took over.

"Personally, I can't thank Dan enough for all of his help and support, especially since I became chairman two years ago. We have been a constant sounding board to each other and I probably speak to him more than I do my wife and kids!"

A top-nine finish is still in Gresford Athletic's sights.

Victory at home to already relegated Penrhyncoch tomorrow will make it 10 triumphs this season for Eddie Maurice-Jones' side and it could move them above Mold Alex in the final standings.

Mold Alex, last season’s Ardal North West League champions, will want to maintain ninth spot and the complete their season at home to Guilsfield, who will finish in the top-four.

Mold manager Mike Cunningham said: “The positives, over the course of the season, certainly outweigh the negatives.

“Our objective at the start of the season was to stay in the league and we have achieved that.

“We know there are huge areas we can improve on and the next few weeks gives us the opportunity to do that and to take make sure we are in a position to push on and improve for next season.”
