JACOB MENDY'S aiming for more goals and assists to help Wrexham achieve their promotion dream.

The wing-back has returned from a second hamstring injury of the season and was a huge threat down the left wing when he played the second-half of Saturday's 3-1 home win against Wealdstone.

There was also a second goal of the season to celebrate as Mendy scored with a brilliant strike from just outside the area with his right foot.

Mendy, also on target in the 5-0 victory at Dorking Wanderers in September, wants to continue contributing high up the pitch as second placed Wrexham aim to clinch the National League title.

"I saw the ball coming a bit short so I knew it wasn't going to go to the back post," said the 26-year-old, who is set to return to the side for tonight's clash with Woking at The Racecourse.

"I just went down the middle and hoped to get it, and it happened.

"I scored it with my right foot.

"I have been saying I have got a good right foot but people don't believe that so I had to prove it!

"Hopefully there are a lot more to come.

"I want to contribute as much as I can with assists and goals.

"I want to hit double figures for assists and goals so hopefully I can do that."
