WREXHAM can give the title challenge it's full focus after bowing out of the FA Cup and Phil Parkinson will embrace the final 18 matches of the National League season.

Tuesday's 3-1 defeat to Championship high-fliers Sheffield United in the fourth round replay signalled the end of a memorable cup run.

Promotion has always been the priority and second placed Wrexham, three points behind Notts County with two games in hand, are back on league duty against Wealdstone at The Racecourse tomorrow.

Wrexham are unbeaten in 16 league outings and Parkinson wants his side to pick up where they left off.

"It is game on for the league campaign," said the Reds' boss.

"I can't wait, I am so excited to go into every game with this group of players and the support we have got behind us.

"We will be ready for Wealdstone at the weekend.

"We are on a good run and hopefully we will continue that."

Parkinson insists he, his staff and players will give everything in a bid to clinch a place back in the Football League.

"That's the aim, to get promotion," he said.

"It is going to be tough but it won't be for a lack of effort and desire from this group and all the staff.

"We are going to go till the referee blows his whistle on the last game of the season and we will see where it takes us."

Wrexham went toe to toe with the Blades in both games and despite failing to secure a fifth round home tie against Tottenham Hotspur, Parkinson says there will be no cup hangover.

"I won't have to pick them up at all," added Parkinson.

"The lads are pleased with the way they played and they will be flying at the weekend."
