WREXHAM enjoyed an excellent first half of the season but Phil Parkinson feels there is more to come from some of his players.

The title chasing Reds thrashed Solihull Moors 5-0 at The Racecourse on Boxing Day to stay second in the National League, four points behind Notts County with a game in hand.

Parkinson is not getting carried away with four months of the campaign remaining but he believes players such as left wing-back Jacob Mendy, who has recently returned from injury and replaced Callum McFadzean in the side for the Solihull clash, have a lot more to give.

Speaking ahead of this afternoon's reverse fixture with Solihull at Damson Park, Parkinson said: "We have still got a lot of work to do.

"You saw Jacob Mendy back playing, Callum McFadzean was very unfortunate not to play but I feel we have got players like Jacob who have got more to give in terms of getting up to speed in terms of minutes.

"I am excited about the second part of the season."

Jordan Davies (knee) and Bryce Hosannah (hamstring) are making good progress but won't be rushed back from injury.

"Jordan and Bryce are expected to be out on the grass this week at some point," added Parkinson.

"We look forward to slowly integrating those two back in but they have got a lot of work to do with our medical department first before they come back into full training."
