IT wasn't easy and the scoreline flattered Wrexham but it was a job well done in the end.
Phil Parkinson's side progressed to the third round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 win against Farnborough.
Paul Mullin gave Wrexham a 49th minute lead and after the plucky National League South side equalised, Elliot Lee put the Reds back in front with a stunning strike.
Mullin then scored two late goals to complete his hat-trick and secure a hard fought victory.

MARK HOWARD: Could have done better for the goal but also made some good saves to keep Farnborough out. 6
LIAM MCALINDEN: Back in at right wing-back but didn’t have much joy attacking down the right-flank. 5

ELLIOT LEE: Lively display by the playmaker and he scored a brilliant goal to put Wrexham 2-1 up. 7
LUKE YOUNG: A presence in front of the defence and the captain's set-pieces caused problems all afternoon. 7
JORDAN DAVIES: Twice denied by the goalkeeper but stretchered off with a serious knee injury. 6
PAUL MULLIN: Scored a well-taken hat-trick to send Wrexham through to the FA Cup third round. 8
SAM DALBY: Worked hard but didn’t really have any chances. 6
