STEVE PARKIN hailed four quality goals as Wrexham beat Altrincham on another memorable afternoon at The Racecourse.

The second placed Reds produced a brilliant performance and won 4-0 to maintain the 100 per cent home record and stay three points behind National League leaders Notts County.

Leading scorer Paul Mullin broke the deadlock with an overhead kick and strike partner Ollie Palmer struck either side of the break with two well-taken finishes.

James Jones bagged the final goal, finding the back of the net following an excellent passing move.

Wrexham are the top scorers in the division and assistant manager Parkin felt the goals were of the highest order.

"The first one is just a wonderful finish from Paul and a good cross from Anthony Forde who played offensively really well and got some good crosses in," said Parkin.

"Both Ollie's goals were good, especially the first one; the goalkeeper had no chance, it was just a beautiful side-foot.

"The ones that you see many times on Premier League shows and it was a great finish.

"If you look at all the goals individually, they were real high quality finishes and gave the goalkeeper no chance.

"Some good passing, good one-twos and the last goal summed it up by being sublime."

Jones scored following some wonderful one-touch football, earning praise from Parkin.

"I am pleased for James because he works hard in training and he works hard on the pitch," added Parkin.

"He is kind of an unsung hero in terms of the work rate he puts in and the shift he puts in most games.

"He has been hankering after a goal for a while and it has been getting to him a little bit.

"Hopefully it is the monkey off his back now and he can go on and get a few more because he is a good finisher and he is a smashing lad."
