TOMORROW could see the conclusion of an unprecedented season in the North Wales Cricket League.

Unbelievably, all Premier Division have been played since April and if tomorrow's six matches go ahead, every single encounter in 2022 will have been played and completed.

As a comparison, last season saw 24 games either cancelled or abandoned, while this figure was 18 in 2019, 14 in 2018 and nine in 2017.

Going further back and local cricketing figures cannot ever recall a full season being completed.

St Asaph chairman Gareth Ryan said: "In my 48 years of being involved with cricket at St Asaph I can never recall this happening."

Third position in the Premier Division of the North Wales League is still up for grabs.

It's Brymbo who are third at present, 10 points ahead of tomorrow's visitors Northop, who would finish third if they secured a 13-2 points win or better.

The end of the season can't come soon enough for Llay, who make the long trip to Bangor.

A number of key players are missing for Llay, who will end the season at the bottom of the Premier Division.

Jack Aplin, Dave Phennah, Jacob Roberts, Tom Parry and Richard Beale are all unavailable.

Skipper Tom Crewe said: "I'm taking who I can there.

"Hopefully we can improve on 27 all out last week. That was immensely embarrassing.

"Hopefully go down fighting anyway as it's been a hugely disappointing season on and off the pitch."

Gresford, who are assured of a top-five finish, have the toughest task of all as they go to champions-elect Menai Bridge.

Captain Matt Thompson said: "We had a good win last week, so the pressure is off this Saturday.

"We're nearly at full strength. Jack Bunkell and Cam Evans return - we'll be trying to cause an upset!"

Menai Bridge require six points for the title, but if they do slip up, St Asaph could retain the title with a big win at home to Pwllheli.

Pontblyddyn will look to cement their top-six spot with victory at Llandudno, while Mold end the summer at home to Mochdre.

Halkyn will be hoping tomorrow marks a title-winning party!

It's been a brilliant Division One season for Ben Roberts' side, who host Hawarden Park tomorrow.

A win could give Halkyn the Division One championship if leaders Denbigh slip up at home to Buckley.

Gwersyllt Park are on their travels to Abergele, while Connah's Quay go to Conwy.

It is a big weekend for Marchwiel and Wrexham, who need 13 points from their game at home to Bangor Seconds to make sure of their Division One status.

Llanrwst, who could overtake Marchwiel and Wrexham, go to Dolgellau.

Division 2: Bethesda v St Asaph 2nds; Carmel & District v Menai Bridge 2nds; Hawarden Park 2nds v Ruthin; Mochdre 2nds v Mold 2nds; Northop 2nds v Caernarfon.

Division 3: Buckley 2nds v Bethesda 2nds; Gwersyllt Park 2nds v Ruthin 2nds; Mynydd Isa and Maeshafn v Conwy 2nds; Pontblyddyn 2nds v Connah's Quay 2nds.

Division 4: Bersham 2nds v Dolgellau 2nds; Corwen v Llandudno 2nds.

Nothing but a win will do for Chirk tomorrow.

Luke Gardner's side pay a visit to Cound looking for a victory that could secure promotion from Division One of the Shropshire League.

Chirk are currently third, five points off second-placed Bridgnorth Seconds and 11 points behind leaders Shrewsbury Seconds.

Shrewsbury host Newtown, while Bridgnorth go to Alberbury.

Northop Hall, who will be relegated from Division One of the Liverpool Competition, will look to conclude their season on a high at Highfield.
