JOHNNY Haseldin is looking to piece together a jigsaw ahead of a big Cymru North encounter this evening.

His Holywell Town side will host Colwyn Bay and team boss Haseldin is looking for his players to combine their best aspects from the first four games of the campaign.

Holywell have won twice in the Welsh League Cup, but they're still searching for that first league win of the campaign.

"Things could have gone a little bit better, but we never make life easy for ourselves," said Haseldin.

"We know if we stick to our principles we will come good.

"We need to put all the best bits from the last three-or-four performances.

"Take the best bits of the four games so far and hopefully we can cause Colwyn Bay problems."

While Steve Evans' Colwyn Bay are a big draw in the league, Haseldin stressed: "We want to win for our own benefits.

"We have got our own objectives to try and win the game.

"We look after ourselves and try and get our jobs done."

Both sides have successfully made progress in the Welsh League Cup of late.

Last weekend, the Wellmen were in excellent form to defeat Ardal League Caersws 6-1 in the second round.

Colwyn Bay caused a shock on Tuesday evening as they saw off Cymru Premier Flint Town United on penalties.

Neither side has won in the league so far, though, and Haseldin added: "I think you always look at your fixtures looking at the big teams.

"That used to be Rhyl and Bangor, now Colwyn Bay and it was Flint.

"There's certain fixtures that stand out, but they're all as important as each other.

"Three points for a win is the same as any other team in the league.

"We know it's going to be a tough game.

"We had three good games last year and if that's anything to go by, it's going to be a good game."

Jake Cooke and Zebb Edwards are both suspended for Holywell, while there will be a late fitness test for Brady McGilloway, who suffered a slight groin strain in the draw with Holyhead earlier in the campaign.

Increased temperatures could be another feature tonight, with 27C forecast at kick-off.

"You have got the opposition, officials and conditions to play - the three main things," said Haseldin.

"We have had those conditions through pre-season.

"You need to retain the ball and don't do needless running."
