JACOB MENDY has become Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson's sixth new signing of the summer.

Left wing-back Mendy has joined from Boreham Wood for an undisclosed fee, putting pen to paper on a three year deal, and follows Jordan Tunnicliffe, Mark Howard, Elliot Lee, Anthony Forde and Sam Dalby through the door at The Racecourse.

The Spanish-native, 25, left Wealdstone to sign for the Wood last summer for a club record fee and he was an ever present in the National League in 2021-22 for the Meadow Park outfit, scoring two goals, and he also helped them reach the FA Cup fifth round where they bowed out to Everton.

During his time at Wealdstone, Mendy enjoyed two successful seasons.

He helped the Stones clinch the National League South title in 2019-20, and won the Player of the Season award the following campaign when he scored 10 goals during the club's first season back in the fifth tier.

Mendy previously played for Carshalton Athletic and Redhill.
