WREXHAM were beaten 2-0 in this morning's friendly against Spanish side Leganes in Alicante.

The match, played at the club's Spanish pre-season training camp at Hotel Golf Campoamor, was played in 32 degrees temperatures with a number of travelling Reds fans interested spectators.

Following a goalless first half, Juan Munoz and Javier Avilés scored the goals against a Wrexham side that featured latest new signing Elliot Lee in what was a strong starting line-up.

Reds' boss Phil Parkinson made plenty of changes over the course of the match, as did Leganés, who made eight changes at the interval.

On Twitter, Wrexham posted: "Gracias por el partido y buena suerte para la temporada! (Thanks for the game and good luck for the season!)."

Leganés responded: "¡Igualmente, amigos! Ha sido un placer. (Likewise, friends! It has been a pleasure)"

Next up for the Reds is Saturday's friendly with Nottingham Forest U-21s, which will kick-off at 7pm local time.

The venue is once again Hotel Golf Campoamor, with supporters reminded that capacity is capped at 300.
