TWO players who left Wrexham at the end of last season have found new clubs.

Striker Kwame Thomas and midfielder Dan Jarvis were among eight players released by the Reds after the promotion challenge came to an end in 2021-22 but the duo have got themselves fixed up.

Thomas has signed for League Two outfit Sutton United.

The 26-year-old scored 11 goals in two seasons at The Racecourse.

Nine of those came during the 2020-21 campaign when Thomas was leading scorer before rupturing his left Achilles in training the day before Wrexham were due to face Notts County over the Easter weekend.

Thomas made his comeback from injury last December and scored twice - in FA Trophy wins against Gloucester City and Folkestone Invicta - but he only made one National League start and five substitute appearances, with the last one coming at the start of February as he found himself down the pecking order.

He played four played four times for Sutton while on loan from Coventry in 2017 and counts Solihull Moors and Blackpool among his former clubs.

Jarvis has signed a 12-month deal with Gateshead, promoted to the fifth tier as National League North champions last term, with the option of a second year.

After initially arriving at The Racecourse from Stoke City on an 18 month contract in January 2020, Jarvis extended his stay with the Reds last summer for another year.

Although he found opportunities limited at the start of 2021-22, Jarvis either started or came on as substitute in nine successive matches before sustaining an ankle injury in the 2-0 win against Bromley on November 27 which kept him on the sidelines for more than two months.

Upon his return in February, Jarvis struggled to nail down a regular place as the 24-year-old made four starts and 10 substitute appearances during the run-in.

Former Wrexham left-back Jamie Reckord has signed for National League rivals Yeovil Town on a one-year deal following his departure from Boreham Wood, who he only joined in January from the Reds.

And ex-Wrexham striker Alex Reid has joined Solihull Moors - a former club - on a season-long loan from Stockport County.
