CHIRK have got to scale the heights in their quest for the Shropshire League Division One title tomorrow - and skipper Luke Gardner is taking that literally!
Gardner will be on a stag weekend and up a mountain when third-placed Chirk host leaders Frankton in a massive clash.
Chirk go into the match on the back of their best bowling performance of the season, which saw them dismiss Newtown for only 58 last time out.
"It's something I hope can continue at the very least for the next couple of week," said Gardner.
"It's going to be a very difficult game on Saturday."
The only change to the Chirk side will be the return of Oli Gough, who has missed much of the season with a broken wrist.
In Division Six, Chirk Seconds pay a visit to Column Seconds.
It's another big weekend for Northop Hall in their battle to beat the drop from Division One of the Liverpool Competition.
Hall, who are 16 points from safety, have home advantage versus mid-table Bootle tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Northop Hall Seconds go to Old Xaverians Seconds.
Turning to the Premier Division of the Cheshire County League and Chester Boughton Hall go to Brooklands on Saturday.
Skipper James Duffy said: “Brooklands away on Saturday will be a new one for us.
"Many haven’t played there! So we’ll prepare properly and look forward to it.”
