CHRISTIAN DIBBLE was taken aback by Monday’s huge attendance at The Racecourse but the goalkeeper knows supporters will also head to Woking in huge numbers as Wrexham’s title challenge hots-up.

More than 10,000 fans were at the game with Altrincham which Phil Parkinson’s side won 4-0 to extend the unbeaten run to 15 games.

Victory leaves the second placed Reds seven points behind leaders Stockport County with six fixtures remaining.

Having played seven successive matches at The Racecourse, Wrexham have their first away outing in five weeks against the Cards and Dibble wants to reward travelling supporters with another impressive performance in the race for automatic promotion.

“Seven games ago I hadn’t played at The Racecourse all season and now I have played seven in a row,” said Dibble.

“We have made this place a fortress this season, the fans have been great and when you hear 10,000 on the tannoy - absolutely unbelievable.

“That is the first time I have seen that here and it is unbelievable support but now we go away from home and I know they will travel in numbers.

“We will go to Woking and try and put a good show on for them there.

“It is a team game but obviously I want to try and make my performances as good as I can, and do well for myself and the team.

“Hopefully we can carry on the way we are going, and the way I am going as well, and keep doing well.”

Stockport are in pole position for the title but Parkinson just wants his side to continue picking up results to push their rivals, and to ensure Wrexham remain in good form if they are involved in the play-offs.

“We have got to take care of our own business and we will see where it takes us in six games time,” said Parkinson.

“If we are successful, great, but it is important we keep our good form if it is to be the play-offs.”
