WREXHAM twice came from behind to win 3-2 against Eastleigh at The Racecourse to keep the pressure on leaders Stockport County.

Phil Parkinson's side were far from their best but managed to clinch victory, with top scorer Paul Mullin bagging the winner in the sixth minute of injury time. to extend the unbeaten run to 13 games, and stay in title contention.

After thrashing Barnet in midweek, it was no surprise to see the Reds' boss name an unchanged starting XI for the fifth successive match.

Wrexham created the first chance in the sixth minute when Ben Tozer's long throw-in wasn't dealt with and James Jones headed the ball towards Max Cleworth who fired over the bar.

It was a sluggish start with the Reds seeing Jordan Davies' free-kick from a wide position outside the area falling wide of the target.

Callum McFadean made a brilliant challenge at the other end to deny Eastleigh a shot at goal but the Spitfires took the lead in the 26th minute.

Harry Pritchard sent in a low corner and Danny Whitehall found the far corner with a deft flick.

But Wrexham made an immediate response and were back on level terms two minutes later.

Tozer launched a long throw into the area and Aaron Hayden rose highest to head home.

Wrexham goalkeeper Christian Dibble pulled off a superb save to deny Whitehall who was let-in by Tozer while Luke Young fired wide for the Reds with the last chance of the first half.

A poor clearance by Dibble almost let in Eastleigh at the start of the second period but the Reds' goalkeeper made amends by turning Whitehall's first-time effort behind for a corner.

But the Spitfires reclaimed the lead on 65 minutes

Substitute Ronan Silva broke through and hit the post with Whitehall converting the follow-up.

Paul Mullin lacked power with a header as Eastleigh keeper Joe McDonnell easily gathered but Wrexham equalised in the 78th minute.

Ollie Palmer crossed from the by-line and Mullin headed home his 23rd goal of the season.

Wrexham pressed for a winner and Palmer was off target with a header from Davies' cross and the midfielder also fired wide, but the Reds scored deep into stoppage time.
