THE Racecourse is a hive of activity at the moment as we tackle the various challenges that lie ahead of us before next season starts.

Interviews with managerial candidates are ongoing, adverts for expanded stewarding numbers are being drafted and the redevelopment of the stadium is in full swing.

Two separate sets of contractors are at the stadium, both digging up the pitch and in and around the stands as well. It's fair to say every department of the club is in full swing!

I was delighted to switch on BBC Radio 5 Live yesterday morning to hear them reporting live from The Turf in Wrexham.

It was a great opportunity for Wrexham and Wrexham Football Club to be spoken about at a UK-wide level, and I was particularly pleased to hear lots of Wrexham fans on there talking about their excitement for the future of the club.

It is an excitement that we share and we aim not to disappoint.

This is a good prompt for me to say a huge thank you to The Turf and to landlord Wayne because they have allowed us access into the stadium through the car park for all these different diggers, cherry pickers and whatever else it may be that we are bringing in to renovate the stadium.

They have always been fantastic partners of the club and we are glad to see they have continued that since we came in.

In other news, I am looking forward to very shortly having a new on-line shop.

It is something that we have received any number of emails and questions about over the time that we have been in charge.

We hope that people will be pleased to see the changes that have been made which make easier and more clear user inter-face.

Everybody in the retail department has been working very hard to get that up and running, in conjunction with Ellison Marketing, a local company who we were delighted to find were not only close by but also gave us the best presentation and went the furthest distance to secure the job.

We are very grateful to them for all their hard work on it and we are expecting that to go live around about the same time that the club shop reopens which should be next week sometime.

We want the on-line shop up and running soon because the new shirt is going to be available to buy on July 1 and we want to make sure those that can't come into the club shop have the best possible experience of getting their hands on the new kit.

Alongside all this positive news is some rather sad news which is that I have reached an agreement with the Leader to continue my column all the way through next season.

It means unfortunate readers of the newspaper are still going to have to continue seeing my terrible mug once a week!

Whether I am in Wrexham or Los Angeles, I will be keeping the column going.

Finally, it was terrific to see Danny Ward, a former Wrexham player, starring for Wales against Switzerland at the European Championships last week.

Wrexham has always been a hotbed of great young Welsh talent and I know that Rob and Ryan want to revive and strengthen that tradition.

Enjoy the sunshine. Bright days ahead.
