DEAN KEATES says Jordan Keates deserves all the plaudits for his hat-trick heroics but insists it is now time to focus on Woking and he wants the midfielder to play his part in another Wrexham win.

Davies bagged a first-half treble as the Reds beat Halifax 4-0 on Tuesday to bounce back from three successive defeats and get the play-off challenge back on track.

Victory enabled Wrexham to leapfrog the Shaymen into seventh position and while Keates admits it was a special evening for the 22-year-old, who hails from Coedpoeth and rejoined his hometown club last summer following a spell with Brighton, the Reds boss is now plotting three points against the struggling Cards at The Kingfield Stadium.

"Jordan is a good pro and he was brought back down to earth!" joked Keates. "We have got good pros in the group and he won't be allowed to go and flaunt off!

"No, it is great for the lad..

"But he is a very level headed lad from a good family background and he will keep his feet on the ground, he won't get carried away with it.

"What happened against Halifax is amazing for him but it is a new day and we turn our attention towards Woking and it means nothing if it is not backed up at the weekend.

"He will play his part getting ourselves ready for Woking."
