SCOTT QUIGLEY has been named the 2019/20 National League Player of the Year at the North West Football Awards.
The former Wrexham loan man saw off the challenge of Stockport County’s Ashley Palmer and Chorley’s Matt Urwin to land the prize after an impressive promotion winning campaign with Barrow.
Striker Quigley, who also played for Cymru Premier duo Cefn Druids and The New Saints, scored 20 goals as the Bluebirds clinched the National League title.
Speaking at Monday's virtual ceremony, Quigley said: “I would just like to thank all the fans who voted for me and the judges at the North West Football Awards for picking me as their winner.
“We had a wonderful season last year in winning promotion and I was delighted to score as many goals as I did, but it was a team effort from everyone at the club so this award is for us all.”
