DEAN KEATES insists that attacking midfielder Bobby Grant remains part of his plans, although that could change before the 2020-21 National League campaign kicks off.

Grant, one of only seven players under contract at The Racecourse for next season, finished 2019-20 as Wrexham's top scorer with eight goals, although he was allowed to join Accrington Stanley during the January transfer window.

The new campaign is set to start on October 3, with Wrexham possibly returning for pre-season later this month, and Keates said: “I have got a good relationship with Bobby and as long as he is contracted to the football club, he is part of our plans.

“He will report back in pre-season and we will go from there unless anything happens in the meantime.”
