PRIESTLEY FARQUHARSON has become the latest member of Connah's Quay Nomads' title-winning squad to sign a new deal.

The athletic defender has agreed a new one-year deal to remain at Nomads for the 2020/21 campaign, which will kick-off with Champions League football.

Farquharson, comfortable at right-back or in the heart of defence, was named in the top-flight's Team of the Season, alongside team-mates Lewis Brass, Danny Holmes, George Horan, Callum Morris and Michael Wilde.

And Nomads' boss Andy Morrison is delighted to have tied the 23-year-old down to a new contract, saying: “I’m delighted that Priestley has re-signed - we have been negotiating throughout the summer and we’ve got the deal over the line.

"I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Priestley and watching him become the player I believe he can be.”

Farquharson joined Nomads from Hayes and Yeading in January 2019 and made his debut for the Flintshire club in an impressive 6-2 away success over Caernarfon Town.

The national beach soccer England international made 24 starts in all competitions last season, scoring twice and helping Nomads win the Cymru Premier and League Cup double.
