CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS have agreed new deals with full-time quartet Lewis Brass, Callum Roberts, Kris Owens and Sameron Dool.

All four played key roles as Andy Morrison's Nomads secured a 2019/20 domestic double by winning the Cymru Premier and League Cup.

Goalkeeper Brass and left-back Roberts were key components of a Nomads' backline that conceded just 19 goals in 26 Cymru Premier outings.

Brass, who made his debut at Bala in the 2018/19 season, kept 20 clean sheets in all-competitions, while Roberts made an immediate impact for Nomads, creating the goal in the first-leg of the Europa League success over Kilmarnock last summer.

On Brass and Roberts, boss Morrison said: “I am delighted to have Lewis and Callum signed up for the forthcoming season.

"Both players have received interest from numerous clubs and the fact that they see their development at Connah’s Quay speaks volumes about how we do things.”

Owens and Dool both arrived at the Deeside Stadium shortly after the Europa League adventure came to an end, the duo having to be patient before taking their chance to shine in the first team.

Having secured the young duo for another season, Morrison added: “Both Kris and Dooly got game time last season - this coming campaign is about going to the next level and establishing themselves week-in, week-out in the starting XI.”

The quartet join Jamie Insall, Craig Curran, Danny Holmes and Jay Owen in putting pen to paper on new deals for next season, while Aeron Edwards has moved to the Deeside Stadium from rivals The New Saints.
