DEAN KEATES won’t be announcing his Wrexham retained list anytime soon.

While other clubs have started to announce who they are keeping and who will be released this summer, Reds’ boss Keates is playing a waiting game.

The entire playing squad and backroom staff remain on the Government Job Retention Scheme despite the National League season ending abruptly last month.

“I’d like to do it,” said Keates with regards to releasing a retained list. “But myself and the club have spoken about it and there won’t be anything at the moment.

“Nothing has changed in the last few weeks and I’ve addressed the players. I’ve passed on all the information I have to the players.”

Shaun Pearson, Rob Lainton, Luke Young, Jay Harris, Dan Jarvis, pictured, and Devonte Redmond are the six players under contract at The Racecourse for next season.

“It’s not a nice situation,” added Keates.
