WREXHAM were held to a goalless draw by fellow strugglers Eastleigh at a windswept Racecourse.

There were few clear cut chances created at either end with Wrexham lacking a cutting edge in the final third, although Reds' striker Jordan Ponticelli saw a goal ruled out for offside after the break.

It means 19th placed Wrexham are still two points above the National League relegation zone with nine games to go.

Here's how the players rated:

ROB LAINTON: Had a quiet afternoon but did everything asked of him to keep a clean sheet. 6

JAKE LAWLOR: Solid at the back and came close to a late winner as goalbound header was cleared. 6

SHAUN PEARSON: Marshalled the defence well to ensure Eastleigh did not break Reds down on counter attack. 6

KIERAN KENNEDY: Lost possession a couple of times but thankfully it did not prove costly. 6

JORDON THOMPSON: Neat on the ball but unable to impose himself when Wrexham attacked. 5

LUKE YOUNG: Put in a good shift but it was a frustrating afternoon for the Reds. 5

JAY HARRIS: Pulled the strings in midfield and did his best to get Wrexham going against stubborn visitors. 7

MARK CARRINGTON: Back in the side and was defensively sound as Eastleigh were kept at bay. 6

DAN JARVIS: Was the biggest attacking threat but often came up short as Wrexham lacked a cutting edge. 5

JORDAN PONTICELLI: Thought he had scored but goal was disallowed with best chance of the game. 5

DAVIS KEILLOR-DUNN: Supplied cross for disallowed goal but Wrexham offered little threat in the final third. 5

PAUL RUTHERFORD: Introduced as the only substitute for Jarvis in the second half. 5
