DEAN KEATES saw Eastleigh steal at march on Wrexham - now the Reds' boss wants to respond in kind with a win of their own.

Keates was at Victory Park on Tuesday as the Spitfires came from behind to beat bottom of the table Chorley 2-1, the visitors scoring the winner deep into added time.

Victory enabled Eastleigh to climb above Wrexham into 17th placed, but with the sides meeting tomorrow at The Racecourse, a home win would see the Reds regain the initiative over their rivals in the bid to avoid relegation.

"Eastleigh had a long journey and they have ground something out right at the death," said Keates.

"They have gone there and looked after themselves, done what they need to do for that football club.

"Every game is different. We will make sure we do what we need to do for us at the weekend to make sure we get three points."

Wrexham go into the game on the back of a 3-0 defeat at high-flying Yeovil and Keates is looking for his side to continue their recent habit of responding to a loss by picking up three points.

"It is the next game and it is massive for us," said Keates. "We have reacted every time we have had a defeat.

"We got a defeat at Chesterfield and reacted from it with a great performance at Bromley.

"I expect the same at home.

"We will make sure we give absolutely everything for the football club and do our best to get the three points, and all being well we will do that."
