DEESIDE DOVES U14s were denied a win against a fourth placed Mold Swifts side who escaped with a 12-11 victory in an entertaining Junior Netball League encounter.

Elsewhere in the Under 14s division, the Dixies struggled against a Holywell Heat team who blazed to a 29-4 success while the Diamonds produced a masterful second-half performance to record an 18-11 win over Rhosnesni Royals.

Katy Anglesea claimed the player of the match award in that game as she helped the Diamonds to the win after they found themselves level at 9-9 at the break.

In the league above, the Deeside DJs U15s won yet again as Darcy Hastings starred in their ruthless 23-3 victory over Mold Owls to maintain their perfect record from 13 games.

Second placed Deeside Dominoes, meanwhile, bounced back from last week’s derby defeat to the DJs by securing a crucial success against third placed Chester Wolves to move them four points clear of their opponents.

The Dominoes took a 13-4 lead into the break before eventually going on to record a 25-14 victory in which Kellie Murray was named player of the match.

Deeside’s Under 13 teams were dominant in their latest fixtures as Lauren Olsen helped the Dace to outclass Boughton Belle Eagles 23-7 while the Dragonflies secured a marginally better result as Sophie Woosey played a part in her side’s 23-5 win over Boughton Belle Pythons.

Deeside Dots U12s slipped out of top spot and down into third as they were held to a 13-13 draw by Brymbo Blitz in a game where Hollie Owen was named as the player of the match.

In the Under 11s division, there was delight for Deeside Dice who flew to a 13-0 thumping of Rhosnesni Rollers with Freya Thomas instrumental in the win. Deeside Dolphins, though, fell to a 10-2 reverse against Ellesemere Port Storm.

Deeside Dimples U10s had two fixtures over the weekend but were winless in both as they fell to an 18-0 defeat against Rhosnesni Rubies and a 12-0 loss to Boughton Belle Pumas.

Maisie Jones grabbed the player of the match award as she took centre stage in a Deeside Dynamos comeback in the Under 10s division. The Dynamos found themselves 2-0 down at the break but fought back in the second half to claim a 2-2 draw with Rhosnesni Ramblers.

Meanwhile, the Deeside Daredevils dominated their clash with the Rhosnesni Rabbits, with Ruby Gregory helping her side to a 5-1 victory.
