THE Deeside Dominoes kept up their perfect start to the Aura Junior Netball League season thanks to another smashing success.

After racing into a 22-3 half time lead over Ellesmere Port Blades, the Dominoes eventually settled for a 37-11 win with Kellie Murray claiming the player of the match award.

Their third successive victory means that the Dominoes stay top in the U15s league, while the Deeside DJs are fourth after being handed a walkover in their scheduled game against Rhosnesni Rainbows.

At the other end of the division, a spirited Deeside Darts team put in an improved performance against Boughton Belle’s Bears, but it wasn’t enough to prevent an 18-9 defeat.

After picking up an early lead in the under 14s league, Hannah Humphreys was able to help her Deeside Doves team fight off any comeback from the Mold Hawks to walk away with a 16-11 win.

It was a tougher afternoon for the other Deeside representatives in the division, though, as an improved second half showing from Mold Swifts earned them a 19-10 victory over the Diamonds, while Chester Dynamos saw off the Dixies 22-3.

Seren Lonergan was unable to prevent her Deeside Dace U13s from losing out 14-5 to the Ellesmere Port Flames, but the Dragonflies were able to claim a win.

Ruby Ellis picked up the player of the match award as she helped the Dragonflies to a 15-10 success over Rhosnesni Rainbows.

The Deeside Dots were ruthless as Hannah Slack and her teammates combined well to condemn the Holywell Hornets to a 24-3 defeat in the under 12s league.

However, it was a tougher afternoon for Deeside In the Under 11s section as the Dice slipped to an 11-1 defeat to Boughton Belle’s Panthers, and the new Dolphins side being outclassed 28-0 by Mold Finches.

The Deeside Dimples U10s were dominant as they earned themselves a 3-1 win against Rhosnesni Rhinos in a game where Darcie Bedofrd picked up the player of the match award.

Ruby Gregory, meanwhile, starred in a tight game in the Under 9s division as her Deeside Daredevils team fought back from behind to earn themselves a 2-2 draw with Rhosnesni Ramblers.
