CHRISTIAN DIBBLE would like more game-time but the goalkeeper is not sulking on the sidelines.

The goalkeeper signed a new two-year contract in the summer but has only made two starts this season, coming into the Wrexham side for FA Trophy ties against Boston United and Leyton Orient.

The form of Rob Lainton, who has kept 20 clean sheets in all competitions, is keeping Dibble on the substitutes bench but although he wants to play more matches, the 24-year-old acknowledged how well his team-mate has done.

"Of course it is frustrating, if any pro tells you any different then they are in the wrong profession," said Dibble.

"I just come in every day, get my head down and work as hard as I can.

"I am happy here. It is not easy as goalkeeper, only one player can play there.

"I just bide my time and wait for my chance.

"You have got to give credit to Rob, he has done really well and has been fantastic, and I have enjoyed working with Jussi Jaaskelainen as well.

"I enjoy it here, the squad is fantastic and we have got some really good players in the dressing room."

Dibble was back in the side for Saturday's second round tie against Orient who won 1-0 following a dubious penalty but he was pleased with his performance.

"I don't think it was a penalty, it was a soft one and we didn't deserve to lose the game," said Dibble.

"We should have had a couple of penalties so it is frustrating.

"I thought I did well and the team performance was alright, we just needed to find the back of the net especially after they went down to 10 men.

"We just need to find a goal from somewhere."

Wrexham have lost four successive games and failed to score in that time, although the Reds are only four points behind leaders Orient going into today's clash at high-flying AFC Fylde.

Although disappointed to exit the cup, Dibble says Wrexham are focussed on ending the poor run against the Coasters.

"I wouldn't have minded a run in the Trophy," said Dibble. "You have got the chance to play at the best stadium in England at the end of the day but what can you do.

"We have been knocked out by a dubious penalty decision.

"I wouldn't stress about the run, you are going to lose games, you are going to win games and you are going to draw games.

"We will go to Fylde after a good week's training with a good positive mindset. We have got to put all our focus on Fylde, it is a big one."

Although Wrexham are badly out of form, Dibble is convinced the Reds will turn the corner.

"There are 17 games to go and Orient, Salford and Solihull are going to lose games," said Dibble.

"Hopefully we have had our bad patch and we can have an upturn in form.

"If you are playing or not playing, you are still part of the team; nothing changes for me if I am sat on the bench or playing, I still help the team."
