MANCHESTER CITY v EVERTON

NICK HARRISON: It’s a good time to play City. They lost at Chelsea and Guardiola was moaning that he only had 15 fit senior players for the midweek Champions League clash. Could Everton sneak a point? Maybe not. 2-1

TOM NORRIS: City’s injury list is starting to get worse, making the challenge a little easier for Everton. Although, Silva’s men have drawn with Newcastle and Watford at home of late, which doesn’t point to an away win here. 2-0

DAN HEALD: Was City’s first defeat of the season a wake-up call? It’ll take more than one defeat to derail Pep’s side but, with David Silva joining Aguero and De Bruyne on the injury list, Everton could run them close here. 2-1

CRYSTAL PALACE v LEICESTER CITY

NH: Two under-performing teams whose managers may be starting to twitch just a little over their job security. The stakes are high in what will be a game extremely low on entertainment. 1-1

TN: In previous seasons this would be one to look forward to, but neither side has failed to hit the heights they should be capable of. It’s a game both will be happy with a point from. 1-1

DH: Palace were due for an easier ride after playing Chelsea, Spurs and Manchester United in quick succession. Results haven’t gone for them though and Hodgson will be under pressure to deliver a home win here. 2-1

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v NEWCASTLE UNITED

NH: The pressure is off Newcastle away from St James’ and the on-going Ashley sale saga. If Rondon and Perez can hit it off up front, it’s an away win. 1-2

TN: It can’t be much fun supporting either side at the moment. The excitement of the Premier League has worn off for the Terriers, while the Geordie faithful are fed up with most things. 0-1

DH: For all their defensive endeavours at Arsenal, Huddersfield still failed to mark Torreira effectively before his acrobatic winner last weekend. This is an early six-pointer and I’ll back Rafa’s Newcastle to nick a slender win. 0-1

TOTTENHAM v BURNLEY

NH: Spurs are starting to click into gear again but how much has that superb display at Barca taken out of them? Thankfully they’ve got Burnley at home so even running at 60 per cent they should have enough in the tank. 2-0

TN: From Barcelona to Burnley. It would be understandable if Tottenham’s weary players failed to find their best form this afternoon. Saying that, Spurs might not need top form to beat Burnley. 2-1

DH: Spurs were outstanding at the Nou Camp in midweek and showed no fear against a depleted but capable Barca side. Tired legs notwithstanding, Spurs have the guile and attacking strength to see off the limited Clarets. 3-1

WATFORD v CARDIFF CITY

NH: Watford looked good at Everton so Warnock’s Bluebirds better watch out. Success has been a success alongside Deeney but Perreya’s the man to watch at Vicarage Road. 3-1

TN: If anyone can predict Watford’s results then they deserve some kind of award. Cardiff will mix it at Vicarage Road and could get a positive result of some kind. Deeney versus Morrison and Bamba will make this one worth watching. 1-1

DH: Cardiff’s home form could be their saving grace this season, but they’ll need to collect points on the road too. Watford will be aggrieved at shipping a last minute equaliser at Goodison though and may take their frustrations out here. 2-0

WOLVES v BOURNEMOUTH

NH: Are we about to see to Bournemouth slump starting before Christmas. The Cherries do have big peaks and troughs but a trip to Molineux isn’t as daunting as a lot of pundits are making out. 2-2

TN: Eddie Howe will hope that Wilson is fit to play as the Cherries looked toothless without him against Liverpool. Both teams plays some entertaining football and there promises to be plenty of goals. 3-2

DH: Nuno’s got Wolves firing again after their lean spell. Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth are better than their 4-0 drubbing would suggest though and could take a point. 2-2

FULHAM v WEST HAM

NH: Pellegrini is dreaming of a top six finish and Chicarito could tell him that’s true if he nets again in what is a winnable London derby at The Cottage. 1-2

TN: The Hammers can’t stop scoring and that isn’t good news for Fulham, who have shipped plenty since winning promotion. Felipe Anderson is in fine form and Hernandez’s looks sharp. 1-3

DH: Fulham’s defence inspires little confidence and they’ll need more than Ranieri’s infectious enthusiasm to turn their season around. After netting three times in each of their last three games, the Hammers will be in buoyant mood and can exploit the Cottagers’ frailties. 1-3

BRIGHTON v CHELSEA

NH: If Chelsea get their gameplan as good as they did against City, then this will be easy. Hazard back on the mark but Brighton will not make it easy. 1-3

TN: Chelsea were very impressive when they dismantled Brighton on home soil last season. The Seagulls will want to right those wrongs, although Chelsea win if they can keep it tight at the back. 1-2

DH: Chelsea are crying out for a striker. Morata and Giroud may not be the answer, but playing Hazard as a false nine limits his destructive abilities. I’ll back an edgy away win. 0-2

SOUTHAMPTON v ARSENAL

NH: Got a funny feeling that the Europa League syndrome may strike at St Mary’s. Arsenal are due a defeat and what better way for King Ralph to herald his Saints reign with a home debut win. 2-1

TN: It was a surprise to see the Gunners struggle to fend off Huddersfield, but Southampton won’t manage to end the visitors’ long unbeaten run. 1-2

DH: Arsenal’s fluid attacking play may have only yielded one goal against Huddersfield, but on their day they can dismantle most defences. 1-3

LIVERPOOL v MANCHESTER UNITED

NH: Liverpool are on a high and United beat already-doomed Fulham. These games are always good and you really can’t see Klopp’s boys losing especially with Salah back to his lethal best. 3-1

TN: Mourinho hasn’t got a bus to park so he’s got to try and attack Klopp’s men, which will make for an entertaining clash. Hard to see United winning. 2-0

DH: A huge test of Liverpool’s title credentials. United may be dull these days but a win at Anfield would certainly build bridges between Mourinho and the club’s dissenting fans. I can’t back against Klopp’s dynamic side though. 2-1
