DEESIDE showed their talent with a North East Wales League victory double over Flint Phoenix B and Llanferres A.
The visitors dispatched Flint Phoenix B, who are finding life in Division One tough, 5-3, before following that up with a 6-2 success over Llanferres.
Cerys Brackenbury and Laura Parry combined to beat Flint duo Zoe Moorcroft and Holly Gill 21/12, 21/11, while Henry Carrington and Parry overcame Llanferres' mother and son partnership of Jane and Tom Givelin 21/15, 16/21, 18/21.
Llanferres followed that up with a 6-2 success at Denbigh A, who saw Iain Lovatt and Richard Elston combine to beat the visitors' Figo Man and David Clough 21/15, 21/18.
An under-strength Mold A ran into an in-form Rossett A, but impressed enough to claim a 4-4 draw. Mold's mother and son partnership of Trish and Liam Hird combined to beat Ian Regan and Sarah Roberts 21/15, 21/4.
Division Two pacesetters Hawarden notched an impressive 6-2 home success over Rossett B, who saw Hazel Davies and Pete Watkin beat Will Toomey and Louise Cothier 21/16, 21/18.
Lloyd Tranter and Joe Nesbitt were amongst the winners as Mold B got the better of Connah's Quay 5-3.
Tranter and Nesbitt combined to overcome Amogh Patil and Paul Tate 21/10, 21/12 at first men's.
Buckley and Llanferres B played out a hard fought 4-4 draw. Steve Eltham and Rob Bishop were amongst the Buckley winners as they beat Peter Williams and Mikey Parr 21/17, 21/17.
Things look bleak for Northop in Division Three as they tackled Flint Phoenix C a player short, going down 7-1.
Jill Denholm and Yvonne Brothers were the Northop winners, outclassing Catrin James and Gemma Browne 21/12, 21/10.
Prestatyn A made light work of Holywell B, who were whitewashed 8-0 despite the impressive performance of David Davies.
Linda Roberts and Davies came close to winning their mixed doubles clash with Terry Wynne and Caitlin Dolan, but were edged out 16/21, 21/18, 18/21.
Prestatyn C were also winners as they secured a 5-3 success over Mold C.
Brandon Smith and Sheila Blackwell got the better of James Maddocks and Eve Ellis in three game cliffhanger 19/21, 21/17 and 21/19 to help Prestatyn triumph.
