Chirk AAA did things the hard way as they came from behind with 10 men to beat visitors Lex XI 3-2 in the Premier Division.

Captain Phil Pierce had been given a red card as Lex opened up a 2-0 lead through Aaron Davies and Dylan Jones.

But Chirk kept their nerve to turn things around to win 3-2 through Josh Phillips, Louie Middlehurst and Sam Nash.

Rhos Aelwyd were narrowly defeated 1-0 by Queen’s Park after defender Matthew Williams was quickest to respond to a lengthy Corey Smart throw.

Saltney Town secured a narrow 2-1 success against FC Nomads who took a fifth minute lead though Kevin McGovern’s own goal.

Rabih Jumaa levelled things, allowing Jake Gibbons to snatch a last gasp winner.

Division One leaders Plas Madoc beat neighbours Cefn Mawr Rangers 5-2 to make 10 straight wins on the bounce to stay 11 points clear. Jamie Williams (2), Ashley Edwards, Sean Valentine and Callum Nash got the goals.

Offa Athletic were edged out 4-3 by Castell Alun who had Stuart Williams open and close the scoring and sandwiched in between were efforts from Nathan Davies and a Rob Darlington free-kick. Offa replied through Nathan Jones (2) and Danny Geddes.

Overton were turned over 4-2 by Rhosllanerchrugog who netted through Luke Hamilton (2), Darren Greenway and Lucas Sluzak. Harry Massey bagged both for Overton.

In the Reserves Division, Ruthin Town are top after defeating Chirk AAA 5-3. Connor Lloyd, Charlie Williams, Will Owen and Tom Mann (2) scored after Ryan Lightwood hit a treble for Chirk.

FC Nomads gave Castell Alun Colts a lesson in finishing and helping them to a 5-1 success were Adam Davies, James Ratcliffe (pen), Luke Wilson, Chris Forshaw and Luke Muia. Kevin Valentine hit back.

In the Reserves and Colts Division, Holywell Town are back on top after beating Overton 2-0 , Jake Cooke and Wayne Edwards got the goals.

Cefn Mawr Rangers beat Llay Welfare 4-3 thanks to Jason Williams (2), Lindon Merson and Sam Sides. Chris Owen, Adam Colley and Aiden Fox replied.

Mynydd Isa Spartans defeated Rhos Aelwyd 2-1. Sam Riley and Joey Jones netted with Liam Davies hitting back.

Rhydymwyn lost out 4-2 to Cefn Albion for whom Alan Manley and Callum Taylor scored doubles. Gary McNaught and Andy Jones replied.

n Greenfield moved into the top six and are only seven points off top spot after beating Barmouth and Dyffryn United 2-1 at home in Division One of the Welsh Alliance.

Daniel Sim hit the winner 10 minutes from time for Scott Beck’s side who had gone ahead in the 36th minute through Aidan Roxburgh.

Bodedern climbed to second place after thrashing Llanrwst 7-1.
