HUW GRIFFITHS left to reflect on what might have been as Cefn Druids played out a 1-1 draw with Cardiff Met.

Druids were made to come from a goal down after Adam Roscrow gave Christian Edwards' visiting Met a half time lead.

But after Naim Arsan's "phenomenal" leveller three minutes into the second period, Griffiths felt his side could, and perhaps should, have made their dominance count.

"It was important that we didn't get beat, so that we didn't get detached from the top six," said Griffiths. "But Christian will be the happier with a point than I am.

"We were brilliant for 30 minutes, but they scored and hit the post and crossbar in the same move to make it 2-0.

"From then on I thought we were the better team, we've dominated possession, but we didn't really test them enough.

"If it was a boxing match we would have won on points, but it's not and the football match finished 1-1.

"I am pleased with the performance, just a little disappointed that we've been unable to go on and win the game.

"The lads are gutted that they didn't win as well, they felt that they were the better team against a good outfit, who beat TNS 4-1 recently."

With the key trio of Alec Mudimu, Ryan Kershaw and Arek Piskorski back available, Druids set the tone from the outset.

Griffiths continued: "We have done really, really well. We started the match on fire, we've had them pinned around their own 18-yard box.

"But they've hit us on the break and there wasn't much in the game until Naim's phenomenal strike.

"We've then had plenty of the ball while they've caused us the least amount of problems since they came up."
