FLINT MOUNTAIN beat the weather and survived Callum Jones’ storming display for Borras Park Albion to stay top of the North East Wales League.
Jones scored twice for Albion but Jimmy McGlone (2), Sean Williams (2), Jack Aitken and Kieran Farr helped the leaders to a 6-2 win.
Acton kept up the pace with the league’s top scorer, Niall Challoner hitting a hat-trick in an 8-2 victory at Brymbo Victoria.
Steve Powell and Ethan Callaghan scored two each with Kyle Coppack also on target as George Phoenix replied with a double.
Greenfield won a seven goal thriller at home to Penrhyndeudraeth.
Leon Sumner scored again to add to goals from Keiron Roberts, Sam Jones and Danny Calvert , who netted the winner from the spot with three minutes remaining.
The game of the weekend was at Connah's Qiay U18s where visitors Mold Town United ended up 6-5 winners.
