A YOUNG Deeside-trained ice skater put on a right royal show to win the coveted Leonard Thomson exhibition trophy at the Blackpool ice skating festival.
Amelia Goodall, 11, took to the ice dressed as Queen's legendary frontman Freddie Mercury and Queen Elizabeth during the competition in Blackpool, which combines skating and entertainment.
The Leonard Thompson trophy is open to skaters age 11 and over, with Amelia also triumphing in last year's Jason Kelly exhibition Trophy for younger skaters.
Amelia, who is coached at Deeside Leisure Centre by Hayley Pardo and sponsored by Optimum Maintenance Solutions of Flintshire, said she "loves performing her Queen/Freddie Mercury program" that won this year's competition.
Proud dad John said "Amelia is very grateful to OMS company directors, Mark Pickford and Dave Hitchens, for sponsorship as without it she would be unable to enter these national competitions."
