NEWTOWN have completed the signing of midfield veteran Ricky Evans from Principality Welsh Premier rivals Bala Town.
The well-travelled 33-year-old’s arrival at Latham Park represents a 10th Welsh Premier club in 12 years for the nomadic older brother of TNS defender Steve Evans.
Evans has made 273 appearances in stints at Welshpool, TNS, Flint Town United, Bangor City, Aberystwyth Town, Caersws, Rhyl, Cefn Druids and Bala Town.
Manager Darren Ryan was delighted at Evans arrival, saying: “He is one of the league's best players and his strength, experience and ability will prove invaluable to us.”
Meanwhile veteran Craig Hutchinson has re-signed as well as 20-year-old former Chirk AAA midfielder James Russell.
