Good Morning Britain (GMB) will air a special episode, live from Westminster Abbey, on Saturday to mark the coronation of King Charles III.

The popular ITV morning show usually only airs Monday to Friday, from 6am to 9am. 

But Saturday, May 6, GMB will air a special episode, live from Westminster Abbey as they countdown to the King's Coronation.

GMB presenter Susanna Reid made the announcement on this morning's show. 

Reid said: "Join us in celebrating the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in a special episode of Good Morning Britain, live from Westminster Abbey.

"We'll be joined by famous friends, family, courtiers and commentators as the minutes tick down to this historic occasion."

Good Morning Britain - The Coronation of King Charles III will be on ITV 1 and ITV X from 6am Saturday, May 6.

What time is the King's Coronation on Saturday?

Full coverage of The Coronation itself will be on BBC One, Two and BBC iPlayer from 7.30am on Saturday, May 6. 

According to the UK Government website, the King and Queen Consort’s procession will set off from Buckingham Palace Saturday morning. 

They will arrive at Westminster Abbey, with the coronation service set to start at around 11am. 

Following the service Charles and Camilla will begin their procession back to Buckingham Palace where they will appear with members of the royal family on the Palace balcony to watch the flypast.
