A former pub in Flintshire has now began its new lease of life as a medical clinic.
In September of last year, The Leader reported that The Druid Inn at Pontblyddyn had been sold.
The 200-year-old pub – originally a coach house – on the A451 Wrexham Road has been the subject of a number of sale attempts since its closure in 2020.
Now it has officially re-opened as a medical clinic with the MyMedica team, which hosted its grand opening on Saturday, October 31.
Over the past year, Sohraab and Chloe Yadav have undertaken a major renovation of the building, completely transforming it from the old pub/restaurant into a purpose-built medical clinic with consultation and treatment rooms.
Speaking about getting the clinic up and running, the My Medica team said: “We are absolutely delighted to have officially opened My Medica in Pontblyddyn. Our vision has always been to create a welcoming, modern healthcare facility where local people can access high-quality private medical care without having to travel far from home."
They added: "We've worked incredibly hard to transform the former Druid Inn into a purpose-built medical clinic, and it was wonderful to see so much support from the local community at our opening.

County Councillor for Leeswood and Pontblyddyn, Kristian Salkeld was on hand to cut the ribbon on the opening day.
He added: " I was delighted to officially open MyMedica situated on the Wrexham road A541 at the former Druid Inn pub. The team have transformed the former Inn to be a state of the art clinic.
"As a family run business, MyMedica have some very exciting plans for the future, and it's been an honour to be invited to cut the ribbon today.
"I personally wish them all the very best, and hope the community, and the rest of Flintshire get behind them.
"The warm reception they showed towards potential clients will be the strength of their new venture. I will be actively involved, supporting them with updates over the next few months as new treatments are introduced."
