Police officers carrying out enforcement activity in Coedpoeth have identified a number of vehicle-related offences following concerns raised by local residents.
The operation, which took place today (Tuesday, September 8) and involved the Commercial Vehicle Unit, resulted in officers detecting several breaches of road transport regulations.
Among the offences identified were two instances of drivers failing to use a tachograph, insecure loads, a vehicle with no valid MOT certificate and a number of Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) offences.
A number of Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) were issued and the drivers will have to pay fines or risk prosecution by Magistrates.
The enforcement activity comes amid ongoing concerns in the village, where residents have repeatedly raised issues relating to waste and illegal dumping in the area.
Local people have called for action to tackle problems associated with vehicles operating in and around the community.
North Wales Police said the operation was carried out in response to concerns raised by residents and formed part of wider efforts to address issues affecting the area.

Superintendent Mark Williams said: “Today's enforcement demonstrates that where concerns are identified, officers will take action, carrying out targeted enforcement, and dealing with offences when they are found.
“We will continue to work alongside local residents and partners to address concerns and take appropriate action.”
Police have not confirmed whether any of the offences detected were directly linked to reports of illegal dumping, but said they will continue to work with partners and the community to address concerns and take appropriate action where necessary.
